Early warning for Cr~(6+) in waterbody by using on-line monitoring of Danio rerio

This study aimed at discussing the feasibility of using MFB as early warning system by comparing with the international standard method—photobacteria method(DeltaTox).The experiment use DeltaTox and MFB to measure the effects of Cr6+ on Vibrio Fischeri and Danio rerio.The result showed that the detection limits of DeltaTox to Cr6+ are 35.2 mg/L and 60 mg/L when the light intensity of Vibrio Fischeri has 20% and 50% change.While the detection limits of MFB to Cr6+ are 26.9 mg/L and 57.9 mg/L with the 20% and 50% change in the behavior intensity of Danio rerio,respectively.It is observed that the detection limits of MFB to Cr6+ is close to DeltaTox's,Therefore,it is a feasible method using MFB as early warning system for monitoring of Cr6+ in water.
