Study on Consolidating Mechanism of Piles Thrusted-expanded with Column-hammer

WANG En-yuan,LIU Xi-yuan(School of Civil Engineering,Hebei University of Technology,Tianjin 300401,China)  
Piles thrusted-expanded with column-hammer are a new ground treatment method.On the basis of engineering practice and theory analyses,consolidating mechanism is studied thoroughly.Central study includes action of thrust load,lateral squeezing action of thrusting bores,strong compaction action in bores and recompaction action of packing and thrusting-expanding.The results provide the theory basis for popularization and application of the ground treatment.
