Effects of Cordyceps Sinensis on Immunologic Function in Mice

Wang Xudan, Zhou Yong , Zhang Li , et al. (Institute of the Integration of TCM and Western Medicine, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Beijing 100029)
Effects of Cordyceps sinensis (CS) on murine immunologic function were observed. The results showed that CS decoction could significantly inhibit murine splenic lymphocyte blastogenesis stimulated with ConA or LPS, MLR of different murine strains, and the production of IL 1 and IL 2, with an obvious dose effect relationship. The results also showed that CS decoction had a marked enhancing effect on the activity of murine NK cells (P0.001), which suggests that CS decoction has various immunological effects, and this may be related with the reaction on different immunocytes of the decoction.
