Community-level aquatic ecological risk assessment and health risk assessment of pentachlorophenol

Community level aquatic ecological risk assessment is proposed by a case study,in order to preliminarily select high risk pollutant on environment.First,pentachlorophenol 's concentration in water is predicted as 0.092μg / L according to fugacity model.Species are chosen represent each food chain in an aquatic ecosystem,including primary producers(algae),primary consumers(daphnids) and predators(fishes).Risk quotient is calculated as 1.642 by factor risk assessment of Europe Commission,which means that pentachlorophenol have high risk on aquatic ecosystem.Epidemiology data shows that pentachlorophenol has adverse effect on the human 's endocrine function.Health risk assessment is applied and the result shows that pentachlorophenol's risk on population is 2.30× 10-7/ a,and the risk level is acceptable.
