Status Quo of Study of Controlled-Release and Slow-Release Fertilizers and Progress Made in this Respect

Zhang Min, Shi Yanxi, Yang Shouxiang and Yang Yuechao  
A review is given on the concept and classification, preparation methods and action mechanism, controlled release mechanism and concept model, actual application and assessment of controlled and slow release fertilizers. An analysis is made of the present situation of the development of controlled and slow release fertilizers in China and the progress made in this respect. Points of attention and orientation are presented for further research and development.
