Discussion on Fertilizer Additives

China is a large country of fertilizer production and consumption, the demand of fertilizer has shifted from steadily increasing grain yield to crop safety,increasing efficiency, soil improvement, environmental protection, emission reduction and so on. In the process of the fertilizer demand changing, fertilizer additives play a special role in improving the physical and chemical properties of fertilizer, increasing the utilization rate, stimulating the plant growth, improving the soil, reducing the emission and increasing the efficiency. The general marketing situation, classification and main effect of fertilizer additives are described, and the problems existing in the development of fertilizer additives are summarized and the suggestions are put forward. In the future, fertilizer additives should be deeply integrated with fertilizer, with contribute to the sustainable development of agriculture in China, ensuring the quality and safety of agricultural products, improving the quality of agricultural products.
