Effects of Sulphur-Based Compound Fertilizer Produced by Different Technologies on the Growth of Pakchoi

A pot experiment on pakchoi has been carried out to compare the crop yield and fertilizer efficiency of sulphur-based compound fertilizers with the same nutrient contents produced by the agglomeration process and the melt prilling process. The result showed that there was no significant difference in the root-shoot ratio, the chlorophyll accumulation and the leaf vegetables growth between fertilizers produced by two processes, whereas sulphur-based compound fertilizer produced by the melt prilling process was more efficient in promoting the nitrogen uptake and the root growth, increasing the fresh weight, the utilization rate of the dry matter below-ground part and the crop yield.
