WANG Kai;LU Weihong;ZHANG Naiming;ZHANG Li;Yunnan Agricultural University;Yunnan Engineering Laboratory of Soil Fertility and Pollution Remediation;Henan Xinlianxin Chemical Group Co., Ltd.;
Selenium is an essential trace element in life. Both selenium deficiency and selenium excess are harmful to the human body. A systematic review is made of the source, content level, and occurrence form of selenium in the soil, the selenium absorption and accumulation characteristics of crops, the discrimination criteria for selenium-rich agricultural products, the technical methods of external selenium supplementation, and the adverse effects of selenium deficiency and excess on human health. Based on the study of selenium in soil crop systems, countermeasures and suggestions are proposed for the development of selenium-rich agricultural products in the future.
