Knowledge Driving Teaching:On the Knowledge Path of Effective Teaching

Within the teachers' capacity and effort,it is feasible to promote"teaching efficiency"through "energy devotion".Once the capacity is exceeded,we can only rely on the application and enrichment of professional knowledge to scientifically improve teaching efficiency and continuously improve the teaching ability of teachers.The knowledge to promote effective teaching is neither subject knowledge nor educational knowledge.It is the pedagogical content knowledge which is formed on the basis of subject knowledge,with educational knowledge as the language,and through in-depth "dialogue"with the phenomenon of subject education.Pedagogical content knowledge generally exists in the subject textbooks,and is published scatteredly in the journal of subject education.To systematically construct pedagogical content knowledge,it is still necessary to admit its academic status as a secondary-level discipline,and timely integrate the knowledge into academic books.For the subject teachers,they should not only undertake the task of subject teaching,but also enrich and integrate the pedagogical content knowledge,thus to fulfill the mission and responsibility as professionals.
