The Extent,Causes and Countermeasures for the Overloading Assignment of Middle School Students Under the Flipped Classroom:An Empirical Analysis Based on Questionnaires and In-depth Interviews

According to the practical condition of flipped classroom,the current research has combined questionnaire survey with in-depth interviews,in terms of which existing problems have been discovered,suggestions and proposals to solve these problems have been found out.As to the status quo of flipped teaching,several researches indicate that although instructors in middle school do have conducted flipped teaching lessons,constantly incremental assignments and excessive class works are still considered as the key methods to improve "teaching quality",which leads to markedly increasing assignment burden against students.Furthermore,multiple factors,such as the absence of academic guidance in students' self-directed learning after-school,and the lack of the optimization and integration of micro-teaching resources,result in a fact that the middle school students,whose comprehensive ability yet has a huge space for progressing,have to take on even heavier academic burden than ever before.To reduce unnecessary burden for more effective learning,strategies should be launched,which include clearly clarifying the applicability of flipped classrooms in specific courses,appropriately reducing the number of flipped classrooms,properly handling the contradiction between examination results and comprehensive development,effectively reducing the daily workload of students,providing effective learning support and high-quality micro-learning resources,reducing the time required for students to complete their assignments,attaching great importance to and being committed to developing students' comprehensive ability,and reducing the burden of students' subjective feelings.
