The Analysis of STEAM Education Concept in Chinese Primary Mathematics Textbooks

STEAM education has become a talent cultivation strategy for developed countries to enhance their comprehensive national strength.The philosophy is now entering into the curriculum and promoting the cultivation of comprehensive,innovative and practical talents in China.It is of great significance for the new round of compulsory education mathematics curriculum reform to explore and analyze the infiltration of STEAM education concept in Chinese primary mathematics textbooks,because it can provide a new perspective for curriculum standard revision,textbook compilation and teaching practice.The paper finds out that STEAM education philosophy has been permeated in Chinese primary mathematics textbooks,and is mainly manifested in the permeation of subject integration,problem solving based on real situation,the stress on students' comprehensive practical experience,and the cultivation of innovation consciousness.In order to promote the development of STEAM education in Chinese primary mathematics education,we should reflect the philosophy of STEAM education properly in the curriculum standards, strengthen the integration of multiple disciplines in textbooks,emphasize the "realness" of problem situations,strengthen problem posing,and implement comprehensive practical activities in teaching.
