Optimum design of space truss based on the environment of ANSYS

The common finite element analysis software ANSYS was adopted as the running environment.The method and process of ANSYS in structure optimization design are introduced as well as the selection of design variable,state variable and object function in optimum design of space trusses.Member cross areas of the space truss were taken as the design variable.The total weight was considered as the object function.The restrain conditions such as strength,rigidity,stability,cross section dimensions were also considered.The ball gymnasium included in the gymnasium project of the habitation of TALIMU oil field filiale was adopted as a practical work.14 types of cross sections of steel tube used in the 6 primary arch truss were optimized under two conditions bellow: dead load adding live load and wind load.Obvious results was obtained.
