Algorithm Research of Urban Traffic Congestion Early Warning Based on Rough Set Theory

By abandoning the conventional method that can judge whether traffic congestion will take place by analyzing traffic flow parameter.Instead,on the basis of rough set theory,an algorithm of judging urban traffic congestion is set up by considering all the factors(such as weather,time segment,etc.) that may result in urban traffic congestion synthetically,which can provide analysis and support to traffic congestion early warning.Experimental simulation is made,and the result indicates that the algorithm is feasible and effective and it can improve accuracy of congestion early warning and reduce false alarm rate.
