Research on College English Teaching Mode Based on Multimodal Discourse

The mode of college English teaching is changing from mono-modal to multimodal, for the latter can take advantage of both verbal and non-verbal signs. This paper begins with the advantage analysis of multimodal discourse,and then a new teaching mode is generated to satisfy the needs of contemporary English teaching. Some suggestions are put forward, aiming to provide implication for college English teaching under the guidance of multimodal discourse.
