Research on the Relationship between Future Orientation and Academic Achievement of Junior High School Students

This article investigated the influence of future orientation, learning attitude and academic help- seeking behavior on the academic achievement from the process perspective. The investigation of relationship between future orientation and academic achievement was discussed mainly from motivation perspective and problem behavior, which was lack of process perspective.Future orientation is a three- dimensional and six- factor theoretical model, with three dimensions: future cognition, future emotion and future behavior,and six factors: breadth, density, optimism, thinking, planning and execution, would affect the learning attitude and academic help- seeking behavior of junior high school students. Learning attitude and academic help- seeking behavior were two main factors affecting academic achievement,so the impact of the future orientation on academic achievement was a gradual process.
