Review on parallel computation technique on computational fluid dynamics in CAI

In this paper, the researches and applications on parallel algorithms in Computational Aerodynamic Institute (CAI) of CARDC in recent years have been reviewed. Three sections are included as following: (1) The parallel computational network systems with distributed memory, which consist of workstation and PC clusters, have been established. (2) On the parallel computational environment, parallel algorithms and parallel application software for CFD have been developed. (3) In cooperation with Computer Institute of NUDT, the CFD parallel softwares have been developed for demonstrating the performance and applicability of parallel computer in developing process, and parallel performance of YH series of computers has been tested also.
