Criterion for Judging Energy Mutation in Destabilized Stope and Its Application

Based on the difference between the definition of rock failure and that of destabilized failure of rock body as an engineering system,we proposed the idea that the rock failure and the failure of rock body as an engineering system cannot be judged with the same criterion in calculating and simulating underground stope and in engineering design.Based on principle of energy and mutation theory,we deduced the energy mutation criterion of destabilized failure of stope before and after being excavated to calculate the changing values before and after the excavation so as to judge the possibility of unstability of the system.The finite simulation of a certain lead-zinc mine in China shows that the idea and criterion we proposed are correct with a certain practical application value.
