Micro-Seismic Monitoring on Position Situation of Flame Working Face in Underground Coal Gasification

Based on the existing technique of Micro-seismic(MS) monitoring for coal mine,the technique of MS was adopted for the first time to have a real-time monitoring test on flame working face of UCG at Zhongliangshan north mine in Chongqing.With 8 sensors laid out in the well,the MS data was dimensionally analyzed and treated by special locating software to get the frame of flame working face and the situation of combustion wave.Results show that the flame working face is a "S-shaped event cloud",25~32 m in length and 2.2~3.6 m in thickness;The average propagating velocity of combustion wave is 0.3 m/d,and the flame working face moves upwards for about 25.6 m in total.The result of field trail measuring indicates that,compared with other geophysical prospecting methods,the MS monitoring on UCG fire zone has many features such as stable performance,lower disturbed noise,and good locating ability.
