Surface Movement Laws of Deep Wide Strip-Pillar Mining Under Thick Alluvium

In order to study the relationship of the alluvium thickness with surface movement and surface subsidence factor due to deep wide pillar mining,we built the numerical stimulation models for deep wide strip-pillar mining under specific geological and mining conditions of a certain coal mine by using the software FLAC3D.Using the newly built model,we performed the numerical simulation and obtained the isoline maps for surface subsidence and horizontal movement under different thickness of alluvium.In addition,we made the regression analysis to obtain the corresponding curves and their relational expressions.The results show that 1) deep wide strip-pillar mining under thick alluvium is not easy to form a waved subsidence basin,2) the subsidence factor qs increases with the increase of the ratio of thickness h to the mining depth H,with the expression being qs=0.162(h/H)+0.085,and 3) the reason for this is that the mining degree of alluvium is different from bedrock and alluvium is a rheological and loose medium.These conclusions can meet engineering requirements according to the field case study.
