A STUDY ON FLUID INCLUSIONS IN METAMORPHIC ROCKS FROM THE SONGPAN-GANZI OROGENIC BELT,DANBA,SICHUAN

Fluid inclusions in quartz from the dynamothermal metamorphic rocks in the Danba areawere analysed by ndcrothermometry. Three types of fluid inclusions are distinguished. Type Icontaips high-density CO2 phase. The trapping temperature and pressure represent the p-t condi-tions of peak metamorphism; TypeⅡ is CO2-H2O inclusions and contains more H2O. It is relatedto uplifting and Type, Ⅱis NaCl-H2O inclusions rich in H2O. It is responsible for retrograde meta-morphism caused by uplifting. The trapping temperature shows a decreasing trend. It is suggestedthat the fluid inclusions were trapped at different stages of metamorphism.
