TYPOMORPHIC CHARACTERISTICS OF MAIN MINERALS FROM LAOWANGZHAI GOLD DEPOSIT,WESTERN YUNNAN

Laowangzhai gold deposit, which is a large gold deposit of typical wall-rock alteration, is situated in the northern section of Ailaoshan gold minerogenetic belts. Pyrite, quartz, carbonates(calcite) and sericite are four main minerals,closely related to the gold mineralization of the gold deposits. Detailed study on the occurrence, crystal forms, chemical compositions, cell parameters,thermoelectricity and infrared spectra revealed the typomorphic characteristics of these minerals. The achievement can provide significant information for the ore prospecting.
