GEOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HOST INTRUSION OF MULUO REE DEPOSIT IN MIANNING,SICHUAN PROVINCE,AND THEIR TECTONIC SIGNIFICANCE

The Muluo REE deposit is a middle-scale deposit newly found in Pan xi region.Its genesis is closely related to the nordmakite.The study of major elements show that the w(SiO2)=66.82%~73.3%,w(K2O+Na2O)=8.44%~13.44%,Na2O/K2O=0.80~1.27,w(TiO2)=0.074%~0.53%,indicating that the nordmakite belong to alkali complex.The rock have a big gross of REE content,high ratio of LREE to HREE,richment of LREE,and the shape of chondrite-normalized REE patterns inclines towards the right.And the Eu/Eu*=0.84,Ce/Ce*=0.81,Sm/Nd=0.143~0.190,Eu/Sm=0.212~0.248,which reveal that the nordmarkite come from deep part of continent.The charactesr of trace contents,such as Th/La(0.159~0.267),Ba/La(0.159~0.267),Ba/Th(87~254),are resemble mantle of ocean-island basalt fromⅠ-rich mantle region,but some ratio of trace contents are similar to that of the continental crust(such as Th/La=0.159~0.267),showing that the rock was contaminated by crust during the upward migration.The discriminant diagrams of the trace element tectonic setting about Nb-Y,Rb-Y+Nb,Rb-Yb+Ta,Ta-Yb,R1-R2,and the similar primary mantle-normalizaed patterns of incompatible elements,which appear abnormality of element Ta,Nb,Ti,also reveal that the nordmarkite produced in collision orogenesis tectonic setting.According to the geochemical results obtained.It is considered that the nordmakite and the REE deposit are resulted from mantle geofluid in western margin of Yangtze plate during Himalayan Movement.
