QUANTITATIVE EVALUATION OF FRACTURE DISTRIBUTION IN THE DOWN STRIKE-SLIP FAULT ZONE OF UPPER SHUAIBA MEMBER OF LOWER CRETACEOUS,DALEEL,OMAN

According to the analysis of the core and FMI characteristics of the fractures and FMI data of the horizontal well passing through the fault,this paper discussed the fracture development near the fault.It was showed that the fracture density was related to the distance from fracture to fault,and the fracture genesis was controlled by the normal strike-slip fault.The function of distribution of the fracture density of three different scales of normal strike-slip fault was obtained in the research and the distribution of fractures in the normal strike-slip fault zone of upper Shuaiba Member of Lower Cretaceous in Daleel oil field in Oman was evaluated t quantitatively.
