The Quantitative Appraisation of the Green of Jadeite

In this paper, the green of natural jadeite has been renamed and classified in numerical way.Furthermore, in order to value the jadeite, authors have established a new standard to evaluate the quality of the natural jadeite’s green color. When renaming the green of jadeite,authors name 1° as one percent in HSB mode of PhotoShop. The green of jadeite is classified into 6 species:pure green, very slightly yellowish green, very slightly bluish green, slightly bluish green, yellowish green and bluish green. authors evaluate the green of jadeite according to index S saturation and B brightness respectively, and then uniting the two indexes, establishes a new standard to evaluation the degree of the quality of the green of jadeite.
