The Determination of Geochemical Abnormity of Soil Cd in Tongling Mining Area Using Multifractal Method

It is significant to determinate the thresholds of elements in soils for geochemical evaluation of environment,and the traditional way of determining thresholds is only suitable for the elements data that is extremely complicated.Nevertheless,the spatial distributions of the elements are very complicated,possibly are multifractal distribution.This paper uses fractal method of Area-calibrated Accumulative-frequency mode to determinate the thresholds of Cd element in soil of Tongling mining area,and result is 1.687 mg kg-1.Comparing the results by traditional method,the anomaly extension made by fractal method covers larger polluting area and is more effective and reasonable.
