Discuss on the Bacterial Leaching of Sulfide Ores From Point of View of Bacteriology

From the point of view of bacteriology, the authors discuss the nature and mechanism of bacterial leaching of sulfide ores. Essentially, leaching is the way in which energy is intaken by the active lifebody, and should not be regarded simply as “catalysation”. Microcosmically, direct and indirect leachings may be attributed to different characteristics of various bacteria and their interactions. Primary and secondary leachings embody the evolution of lifebody. Direct or indirecte leaching takes place, deponding on bacterial physiology and ecology. The physiological characteristics of F. f play a direct role and those of T. f and F. f play a indirect role. Therefore, it is suggested that different species of bacteria should be selected and breeded for leaching various types of sulfide ores, with the emphasis on enhancement of the activity of reducing sulfur oxidase.
