Catalystic Effect of Ag~+ on Bacterial Laching——A Study

Bacterial physiological functions are investigated by catalysing bacterial leaching with Ag +. From the results obtained, it is found that Ag + has a strong depressing effect on bacterial oxidation of Fe 2+ , that is to say, the resistance of Cu 2+ to the toxicity of Ag + increases with the concentration of Cu 2+ in solution. At a low mol ratio of Fe 2+ to S 0, S 0 has a strong depressing effect on bacterial oxidation of Fe 2+ . The inhibition of bacterial oxidation leaching of Fe 2+ in mineral is the important reason why high leaching rate can be achieved by catalysing bacterial leaching with Ag +. Therefore, enhancing the inhibition of bacterial oxidation of Fe 2+ can lead to a great increase in leaching rate of copper.
