Oxidizing Physiology of Bacteria and Their Mineral-leaching Mechanism——A Study

The Bio-leaching of chalcopyrite was investigated by using specially enriched and cultured bacteria with different physiological character and the bacteria without the activity oxidizing the reduces sulfur or ferrous ions. It has been shown that the bio-leaching of chalcopyrite was dominated by direct mechanism through the oxidation of sulphide ion.
