Experimental Research on Copper-lead Flotation Separation of a Cu-Pb-Zn Sulfide Ore in Yunnan

A flotation flowsheet consisting of Cu-Pb bulk flotation,Cu-Pb separation and flotation of zinc from the tailings was heretofore adopted to treat a Cu-Pb-Zn sulfide ore in Yunnan which contains 0.60% of Cu,2.43% of Pb and 5.10% of Zn,yet,the Cu-Pb separation was not effective.Experimental research on Cu-Pb flotation separation was carried out after the buck concentrate was regrounded to-0.074 mm range of 80%,and the results show that,using a combined depressant consisting of Na 2SO 3,Na 2SiO 3 and CMC to substitute K 2Cr 2O 7 to depress galena,and using Z200 to substitute ethylic xanthate to collect chalcopyrite,copper and lead can be separated effectively,while a copper concentrate containing 23.30% of Cu and 3.30% of Pb and a lead concentrate containing 64.66% of Pb and 0.50% of Cu can be obtained.
