EFFECTS OF ADDITION OF PIAMOND ON REINFORCEMENT AND WEAR RESISTANCE OF NICKEL BASE ALLOY A STUDY

The effects of addition of diamond on reinforcement and wear resistance of nickel base alloy was studied. With increasing the addition of diamond in solntion, the volume fraction of diamond co deposited increased, reinforcing the alloy and making it have higher hardness. Therefore the composites containing diamond have higher wear resistance than such alloys as Ni P, Ni Cu P and Ni Mo P.
