Experimental Study on Time-frequency Characteristics of AE Signal During Rock Burst in Granite Tunnel

Through simulated tests of biaxial granite unloading rock burst,the dominant frequency of acoustic emission(AE)signals was obtained by FFT transform.Variation laws of the AE signals frequency during the preparation and occurrence of rock burst were analyzed.And the time-frequency characteristics of AE signals during rock burst in granite tunnel were studied.The results showed as follows.The AE energy rate and RA values had obvious phase characteristics in time series,which can reflect the entire process of rock burst preparation and occurrence.The dominant frequency of AE signals overall declined with the rock burst preparation and occurrence,and the average frequency reduced by 3.06 kHz after rock burst.The dominant frequency in the whole process mainly concentrated in the range of38~50kHz,and the proportion of different frequency in this range presented Gauss distribution.The proportion of dominant frequency in the range of 42~43kHz had the biggest change after the rock burst.As this range of frequency proportion was sensitive to rock burst,it was suggested to be set as forewarning criterion when reached a certain value.The research results provided a new method and criterion for forecasting rock burst.
