Adaptive Backstepping Control of Induction Motors with Load Torque Uncertainties

An adaptive backstepping control design is applied to an nonlinear induction motor system with load torque uncertainties. With state observers, both rotor speed and rotor flux amplitude tracing objectives are satisfied, which improves power efficiency without affecting the speed regulation. The proposed method has a simple structure. The simulation results show the validity of this method.
