Effects of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy on Respiratory Function Monitored by Side Stream Spirpometry

Objective:To observe the change of ventilation and respiratory dynamics in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy and monitored by side stream spirpometry (SSS).Methods:30 patients were asigned randomly into two group∶group Ⅰ,managed with fixed parameters of respiration,group Ⅱ,with P ET CO 2 4 38 4 78kPa throughout the study.Changes of respiratory dynamics and ventilatary function were measured with SSS monitor,rate of dead space was calculated.Results:Tidal volume(V T) and compliance significantly decreased and Airway pressure (Paw),FEV 1,P ET CO 2 and rate of dead space significantly increased during CO 2 pneumoperitonium in group Ⅰ.Rate of dead space was ralatively stable in group Ⅱ.Conclusion:SSS can reflect the changes of ventilation function and respiratory dynamics.
