Objective To explore the causes and nursing interventions of pneumo-infection after abdominal operation in senile patients in order to reduce the rate of pneumo-infection. Methods Data of 180 patients with pneumo-infection after abdominal operation were retrospectively analyzed, correlation factors totally assessed and nursing intervention measures established. Results of 180 patients,24(13.33%) developed pneumo-infection and recovered after active treatment and nursing. Conclusion Intensifying pre-and post-operation nursing of abdominal operation for senile patients and adopting workable nursing interventions on causes of pneumo-infection could reduce pneumo-infection and raise success rate of operation.
