The feasibility discussion on application of jet fan for smoke control in underground garage

Based on the characteristics of fire in low-rise underground garage, a concept of fire protection design for this site was introduced, where inductive fan was employed. Combining the criterion of stability for double flow, a design project of jet fans and critical velocity in the opening of fans were made. Thus, the shortcoming of disturbing the smoke layer was avoided. Finally, the inductive ventilation system was attempted to be used in a potential underground void in this paper.
