Application of mond in the safety assessment of waste incineration power plant

With the increasing maturity of waste incineration technology,China launch a waste incineration power project investment upsurge.Safety assessment of waste incineration has a long history in the western developed countries.But in our country the study on safety assessment method of the waste incineration technology is still pinch.In the process of waste incineration power generation there is dust,noise,toxins,microorganisms and other hazards.They will easily bring in casualties and pollution of the environment.Combined with the actual situation of waste incineration power generation,the safety assessment of a waste incineration power plant was carried out by using Imperial Chemical Company(ICI) Mond Fire and Explosion Index Evaluation of toxicity.The difference between before and after compensation of the total risk coefficient R of different units in the plant was obtained.The results showed that it is feasible to predict accurately by taking safety measures before and after the fire,explosion,poisoning and other risk factors using Mond method.Besides the feasibile countermeasures can be taken based on the results and problems.The evaluation results have an important significance on the future evaluation of the waste incineration power generation.
