Notes on Fishes Fauna of the Upper Reaches of Weihe River in China

The present paper deals with the fishes collectad from the upper reaches of Weihe River in Gansu province, China, during the period from 1980 to 1981. There are 4 ordes, 6 families, 20 Genera and 23 species of fishes in the upper Reaches of Weihe River, Gansu provence,China. Among them Cyprinidae fishes 13 species, making up 56.5%; Cobitidae 6, 26.1% Salmonidae 1, 4.3%; Gobiidae 1, 4.3%; Eleotridae 1, 4.3%; Symbranchidae 1, 4.3%; No doubt, Cyprinidae fishes are the dominant species in this region.As to the fauna of fishes, there are 7 species of Northwest Plateau Region, making up 30.4%; 11 species of Jiang-he Plain Reqion, 47.8% 3 species of North Chian Region, 12%; 3 species of south China Region,13.10%. The upper reaches of Weihe River, which belong to the zone between Jianc-he Northwest Plateau Region in the fauna of fresh-water fishes, China.
