“Fragmentation” in Historical Research and Countermeasures of Materialist Dialectics

Currently an important problem in historical research is "fragmentation"— trivial subjects and unimportant topics —which is an isolated, static, or one-sided understanding of history and is caused mainly by loss of the purpose of the historical research. Materialist dialectics is of methodological significance in dealing with"fragmentation"in historical research.
