Research on reducing the cost of converter end-point for IF steel

The costs of production for two kinds of IF steel process route were compared in this paper,and then the best process route of IF steel smelting was put forward as follow:pretreatment of hot metal→BOF→RH→CC.Based on that,and associated with the IF steel production practice,and then by comparing the effect that different endpoint carbon content of converter on converter condition,oxygen blow duration,converter blowing loss and the nitrogen content of steel tapping,the best end-point control target for reducing the cost of converter smelting has gained as follows:carbon content is controlled in the range of 0.04%to 0.06%,the temperature of steel tapping is above 1 700℃。
