ICP-AES Determination of Lead,Cadmium,Chromium and Mercury in Lead-Tin Solder Alloy

The solder sample was digested with HNO3, HF and H2O2 assisted by micro-wave heating.Boric acid was added to complex with excess HF.The sample solution in dilute HNO3 was used for the simultaneous determination of Pb,Cd,Cr and Hg by the DUO-ICP-AES.Detection limit(3S) found for these 4 elements were in the range of 0.002 1-0.017 mg·L-1.Tests for precision and recovery were made,and values of RSD′s(n=11) and recovery obtained were in the ranges of 0.25%-3.4% and 94.9%-101.0% respectively.
