Based on the research on the grafting reproduction technique, the method of propagating and breeding Cornus wilsoniana Wanyer by the grafting was put forward firstly and the problems of grafting technique were settled. Effects of grafting methods, grafting period and height of survival stick on survival probability were studied. The result shows the survival rate of side grafting Cornus wilsoniana Wanyer by "three-cut" method is 95.7% in autumn, 86% in spring. Side grafting with the survival 10cm-length of stock by three-cut method is optimum in spring. The optimum period is from late February to middle of March.
