Research on the Relation between Chlorophyll Content and the Spectral Characteristics of Some Representative Plants in East Lake Area in Wuhan

The spectral reflectance and chlorophyll content of the three representative plants (peach,Sophora japonica,ilex tree) were measured in East Lake area in Wuhan to reveal the relation between chlorophyll content and spectral characteris- tics of the plants in this study.The results showed that the wavebands influenced by chlorophyll Content of the three plants were identified and the differences of spectral characteristics between peach,Sophora japonica and ilex trees were found when the three plants had the same chlorophyll content.The regression models between reflectance and chlorophyll content were established in various wavebands by multiband technology and the optimal models of three plants were selected based on the precision analysis of the models.
