Research on variation of quantitative traits among fruits of Swida wilsoniana Wanger,a woody oil plant

Fruits from twenty-one selected plus trees of Swida wilsoniana Wanger in Jiangxi and Guangdong provinces were studied.Results showed that variation coefficients of flesh thickness,thousand fruit weight,thousand seed weight,flesh oil content,seed oil content,fruit size and seed size were 4.35%,6.78%,14.28%,14.39%,17.89%,19.06% and 23.08%,respectively,with the range of variation coefficient of 4.35%~23.08%.Significant positive relations between flesh thickness and thousand seed weight,fruit size and seed size,seed size and thousand fruit weight,fruit size and thousand fruit weight were found.Flesh oil content and seed oil content of 21 plus trees were 26.35%~56.88% and 11.77%~19.83%,respectively.
