Study on dust-retention effect of garden plants along the Old Yellow River scenic zone of Xuzhou City

The study aimed to discuss the dust-retention action of the main garden plants along the Yellow River in Xuzhou,the research aimed to provide theoretical basis for the choose of green plant.With the main landscape plants along the Yellow River in Xuzhou as study objects,the dust-retention abilities of the main plants was studied preliminarily by samp-ling investigation and laboratory analysis from April to May in 2010.The result showed that the dust-retention amounts per unit area of different tree species had bigger difference,the conifers demonstrated strong hysteresis dust ability.The dust-retention abilities of tree species in different types had bigger difference and they were conifer arborsshrubsbroad leaf arbors.
