A Study of the Imperial Examination System in Ming Dynasty

The Imperial Competitive Examination System was used in the selection of officials in Ming Dynasty.The competitive examinations include the county level exam,the provincial level exam and the highest level exam.Those who passed the imperial exam at the county level were called Xiucai.Those who passed the exam at the provincial level are called Juren.Those who successfully passed the highest level exam are Jinshi.There was much difference and connection between the three level examinations.This thesis will make a detailed study of the Examination System of Ming Dynasty.
