DYNAMIC PATTERNS OF STRESS FIELD INVERSED BY THE VARIATION OF GROUNDWATER LEVEL AROUND DATONG-YANGGAO Ms6. 1 SHOCK

By studying the quantative relationship between the variation of water level in a artesianwell and the variation of the stress and strain applied to the aquifer,their quantative relationformulae are gotten,and two new methods using the well level variation to inversc the stressvariation of the aquifer are given. Based on the data of the well level varying around the Datong earthquake,the dynamic adjustment variation of the stress field in a large region is inversed,thereby shaping evolution patterns in time and space. From these patterns, the characteristics and probable mechanism of dynamic adjustment variation of stress field in thelarge region are analyzed.
