Effects of Chitosan Oligosaccharides on Bud Length and Qualities of Tea in the Field

Field experiment was conducted to study the effect of chitosan oligosaccharides on tea. Three different treat methods were applied: A1( spraying chitosan oligosaccharides 2 times),A2( spraying chitosan oligosaccharides 3 times),A3( spraying chitosan oligosaccharides 4 times). The results showed that chitosan oligosaccharides applying affected the growth of tea shoot. The A3 treatment had a significant effect to promote growth,the net growth length and the grow rate increased 7. 36% and 7. 46% respectively compared with control group. The three treatments have remarkable influence on the improvement of the quality of tea. The A3 treatment brought the best improvement of tea. The A3 treatment that water extract,soluble sugar and tea polyphenol increased 44. 41%,17. 12%,15. 91% respectively compared with control group. The field experiment results indicate that chitosan oligosaccharides have a better effect to promote growth and improve the quality of tea. It can be applied to the actual production of tea.
