A Study on the Micronization and Partical Appearance of Tapioca Starch

Tapioca starch can be mechanically ground by ball milling. The effects of milling time on the partical size distrbution and specific surface of the starch were studied. The breaking pattern and breaking process of the starch granules was analyzed based on the appearance of the starch granules before and after milling. The results showed that tapioca starch granules can be effectively micronized by ball milling.
