Optimal Design of Gas Cooler Applied in CO_2 Transcritical Cycle Heat Pump Water Heater

Under the design condition,a steady state distributed-parameter model of coaxial gas cooler applied in CO2 transcritical cycle heat pump water heater was established.Based on this model,sensitivity analysis of gas cooler performace to its configuration parameters was carried out.According to the simulation results,it is suggested that when one tube in a tube is designed,the outer diameter of inside tube should be at least greater than 8.00mm and lower than 10.00mm,the inner diameter of outside tube is between 11.00mm and 13.00mm.For more tubes in a tube,three tubes in a tube shows the best characteristics.The results of optimization design are expected to offer useful guidelines for gas cooler design and its development.
