SURVEY ON NONLINEAR INVERSION METHODS IN ELASTOMECHANICS

The defineteness of the solution of inverse problems in elastomechanics are summarized and class-fied systemically according to the difference of deterministic characteristics of the problem and measured data. Nonlinearity and ill-posedness are the bottle-neck in inverse problem's theoretical studies and engineering applications. The effective ways to deal with both the nonlinearity and ill-posedness are summarized. Some recent advances of nonlinear inversion methods in elastomechanics are briefly reviewed. The classification of nonlinear inversion methods is also discussed in this paper.
